This machine features two essential technical innovations: firstly, into the bottom of the machine I carved a channel, which directs marbles that landed in holes back onto the flippers. Secondly, I installed an extra flipper in the upper right part of the game and this makes it much more convenient to score in that sector of the playfield.
I used carbon paper to copy pictures from the book “Otto is a Rhino”. My goal was to put together a scene from the culmination of Otto’s story, where all the characters involved, including the rhino itself, go crashing through the floor of Topper’s room. Dramatic, don’t you think?
